We support the sports ideal and fair competition. At OLYMPOS, we take care to be next to the efforts and dreams of athletes, supporting athletes in the area of track and field events and local teams, strengthening the sporting spirit.
Education of Students
At OLYMPOS, visits are made by schools, so that students can be guided around the factory premises and be informed at the same time about the products and proper nutrition. It is worth mentioning that every year, over 1 000 students visit the OLYMPOS factory from all over Greece.
Vulnerable Social Groups
Of course, we could not remain indifferent to the needs of vulnerable groups. For this reason, we have supported and continue to support various social groups with products, emphasizing primarily organizations related to children. At the same time, we support “Social Groceries” in the wider area of Thessaly with the aim of supporting many families. The family and the child have an important position for us at OLYMPOS and we take care of their continuous support in the difficult times of crisis.
OLY children – OLYMPOS & HOPEgenesis
OLYMPOS joins forces with HOPEgenesis, the urban non-profit company active in addressing subfertility in Greece, especially in border areas, providing comprehensive medical care and services to women from the moment they become pregnant to the day they give birth, encouraging the choice of motherhood and believing that supporting the Greek family is a tool for national survival.
Educational material in kindergartens and schools
The company recognizes the multiple benefits of fairy tales for school and preschool age children and of reading books for primary school children, as their effect on both their cognitive and on their emotional and social development has been proven, promoting creative and critical thinking. As part of the “We love books, we support love of reading” programme, we have distributed more than 1 000 “OLYMPOS children’s” fairy tales to kindergartens in the country.
We love our four-legged friends
Love, care and respect for animals are a core company value reflected in actions. In this context, the “Taking care of our four-legged friends” programme was completed in 2023, which concerned the care of stray animals in Trikala, Larisa and Xanthi. Through this specific initiative, and in collaboration with local veterinary clinics and private doctors of these three prefectures, a clinical check of the health of animals in the areas, vaccination, sterilization and marking with microchips was carried out, while administering the necessary medication.In addition, feeders and waterers for dogs and cats were placed in appropriate places indicated by the competent Municipality services.
We have adopted a wish from “Make a Wish” & have decorated our Trees with Wishing Stars
In continuation of our many years of support to the “Make A Wish Greece” organization, in 2023 we had the honour of making little Naya’s wish come true by offering her the possibility to move around more easily with her new wheelchair, offering her many new things to remember.
Additionally, for another year we decorated our Christmas trees with “Make-A-Wish” stars so that wishes of children suffering from serious illnesses can come true
A warm Christmas hug for the kids
The company recognizes the effort of the “The Smile of the Child” organization, which puts up a huge fight every day to be able to offer a life with safety and dignity to the 300 children living in the organization’s 11 homes. For the third year in a row, we undertook to cover the breakfast needs of the children who live in the organization’s homes, during the Christmas season, with our products. In addition, wanting to offer an extra warm hug to these children, we sent each home a gift package containing toys.
Support and reward of new ROBOT EXPERTS
OLYMPOS stands at the side of the Robot Experts robotics team, supporting for another year their effort for distinction in the International Robotics Olympiad “MINOAN ROBOTSPORTS COMPETITION GLOBAL OLYMPIAD”.
