Chocolate and kefir cake

INGREDIENTS
  • 325 gr. flour
  • 250 gr. sugar
  • 125 gr. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 ½ tsp. baking powder
  • 60 ml. olive oil
  • 230 ml. OLYMPOS kefir
  • 15 ml. orange juice
  • Zest of half an orange

FOR THE CHOCOLATE ICING

  • 100 gr. 55% cocoa content couverture chocolate, cut in pieces
  • 100 ml. heavy cream
  • 1 tsp. honey

METHOD

FOR THE CAKE

  1. Add all the cake ingredients to the mixer bowl and mix well until they become a homogeneous mixture.
  2. Butter a cake pan with removable bottom, sprinkle it with cocoa and pour the mixture.
  3. Bake it in a preheated oven for 40-50 minutes at 180° C.

FOR THE CHOCOLATE ICING

  1. Heat the heavy cream in a bain marie and add the couverture chocolate and the honey.
  2. Mix until they become a homogeneous mixture.
  3. When the cake cools down, pour the chocolate icing on it and sprinkle with cocoa.
