INGREDIENTS

FOR THE DOUGH

  • 250 gr. OLYMPOS butter at room temperature
  • 75 gr. caster sugar
  • 1 tspn. vanilla extract
  • 1 tspn. rose water
  • 300 gr. all- purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 50 gr. almonds, raw
  • 150 gr. almonds roasted, broken
  • 1 pinch of salt

FOR SPRINKLING

  • rose water
  • caster Sugar

METHOD
  1. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C in fan mode.
  2. Put the butter, the powdered sugar, the vanilla extract, the flower-water into a large bowl.
  3. Stir, with a hand whip, very well until the mixture is fluffy and the ingredients are homogenized.
  4. Add the flour and the baking powder.
  5. Grind the raw almonds in the cooking machine and add them to the bowl.
  6. Finally, add the roasted almonds and salt.
  7. Mix with hands until the mixture is homogenized.
  8. Shape qurabiye about 25 gr. each.
  9. Push with your finger to make a puddle in the centre of each qurabiye.
  10. Place it in 2 pans with baking paper and bake in the oven for 18-22 minutes.
  11. When cooked, leave aside to cool for at least 30 minutes.
  12. Finally, sprinkle with rose-water and caster sugar.
