Traditional Kourabiedes’’ (Greek butter cookies)with butter OLYMPOS

INGREDIENTS
500 gr. soft flour
250 gr.
melted butter
OLYMPOS
80 gr. powdered sugar
80 gr. almonds
1 cognac shot
Vanilla
1 tsp. of baking powder
Rosewater
2 Eggs

METHOD
At first, mix raw sugar with fresh
butter
until the mixture gets white.
Stir well and add the eggs, the vanilla, the baking powder and the cognac.
Beat the mixture well until it’s homogenized and put the grated almond and then add gradually the flour.
Knead until the dough becomes soft and smooth.
Form the kourabiedes in the desired shape and bake them at 150-170° C for about 20 minutes.
Once you take them out, sprinkle with rose water and lace with icing sugar.
